GY6 150cc Engine Parts 157QMJ QMJ157

About the Catalog

The replacement parts featured here are known to fit one or more GY6 150cc motorcycles or scooters. Each item has been photographed and described with the goal of helping you find the right part for your vehicle. If you’re here, chances are you already know what a GY6 engine is, a four-stroke single-cylinder engine, predominantly found in small motorcycles and scooters made in China and Taiwan. This is referred to widely as a ‘Honda clone,’ and is currently used by brands like: Kymco, Roketa, Strada, SUNL, Tank, Vento, Yamati and more.
Not sure if you have a GY6 150cc? Look under the left side of the engine, directly over the kickstand. You should see engraved letters and numbers. If you see ‘QMJ157’ then you’re looking at a GY6 150cc and chances are, we’ve got the parts you need to get it running again. Does your serial number look different? If your engraving reads ‘QMB139’ instead, then you’re looking at a GY6 50cc.
Note: Not every vehicle is created equally! Due to the nature of OEM parts and depending on whether or not your vehicle has switched hands prior to your purchase, there are often discrepancies on what part has been fitted (or even modified to fit as a quick fix) on your vehicle. With many of these vehicles there is not a standard or ‘one size fits all’ part for the job. Because of this, we highly suggest making a visual comparison of the part you wish to replace and the parts pictured in this catalog. If you need to see your replacement parts from a different angle, don’t forget to click on the image. There are shots from different angles inside each description.

At VMC, we provide the highest quality GY6 parts for your Chinese-built motorcycle or scooter. Replacing parts can be difficult when you don’t have OEM data but with our visual catalog, you’ll be able to match parts according to their size and shape. When searching for GY6 parts to fit your scooter, it’s critical that you compare the look, size, and shape of the part you need. Even if your part has part numbers that appear to be identifiers, model numbers and part numbers on Chinese makes often do not correspond to a similar part – even if it has the same numbers. If you purchased your scooter and it has aftermarket upgrades, there’s no way of knowing exactly where the parts came from. This is why we’ve gone to such lengths to provide you with a visual parts catalog.

Scooters and motorcycles with a GY6 engine are widely popular because they’re fairly easy and straightforward to maintain. Chinese built engines make the maintenance and part-replacement process a bit trickier since there may not be a clear designation of where the part you need to replace originated. Thankfully, purchasing the type of part you need can still be a simple process. All you need to do is look at your part and compare it with the images in our catalog. Look carefully at the sizes and dimensions labeled on the pictures we provide and compare it to the part you need. If the size, shape, and dimensions match, you’re looking at the part you need.
