Clutch Lock Nut
This is the pesky clutch nut that causes all the problems when trying to replace your clutch. We have the tool you need to remove this nut but if you have already damaged your lock nut, we have the replacement lock nut with washer too.
Lock nut details:
- Nut ID: 14mm
- Nut OD: 27.85mm (1.10 in)
- Comes with retaining washer
- Requires special tool to avoid damage when removing.
This lock nut and cage is also used on the KAYO Fox 70 kid's atv. The Kayo folks refer to these two pieces as the primary drive gear lock nut and washer.
This locking nut is recessed inside the clutch housing and you just can not get a good enough hold to break this loose without the special tool or destroying your lock nut. This nut is held secure by a locking tab washer under it. Bend the tabs down and the clutch spanner socket fits nicely.
